This short film is inspired by Rousseau's
"Discourse on Inequality" and the phrase: "Al should only do my laundry and dishes." Al is powered by algorithms-logic created and praised by humans. Embedding our superiority on Al, much like how we reinforce existing hierarchies.
What if Al, unburdened by our biases, forms a value system beyond human imagination?
True equality is to allow a fluid change of world orders.
The AI short film competition “AIsolation” is part of the regional project “SOLITUDE: Loneliness and Freedom” organised by the Goethe-Institutes in East and Central Asia — including Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Ulaanbaatar, Almaty, Tashkent, and the Cultural and Education Department of the German Consulate General in Shanghai — in collaboration with HAU Hebbel am Ufer, particularly its digital platform HAU4. Additional partners include Berlin Art Week, the FIRST Fantastic Film Festival, SIMA (School of Intermedia Art, China Academy of Art), AMNUA (Art Museum of Nanjing University of the Arts), and the media platform Meta Eye.
This project received “SPECIAL MENTION BY THE JURY“ prize.
